CONCERTS

Take a sonic bath

Live music performance.  The Arts Center at CBC embraces both the old and the new music of our time.  To attend an Arts Center music performance, the first step is to choose the familiar or expand into new territory.  Within one season, a patron could take in our own award winning performing groups, a Camerata Musica concert, and unique guest artists covering all styles.  Couple this with a performance space which is adaptive to both sound and the potential of numerous non-musical special effects, you will have an experience that is not soon forgotten. With our commitment to access, many of our concerts are free to the public.

Performance groups

While the CBC Arts Center is part of the cultural enrichment fabric of our community, it is also a major component of the higher education artist training offered to our service district.  We are also participants in our students and celebrate their success.  It is through our performing groups that our patrons can hear (and see) future performing artists practice, develop and refine their abilities.  Whether beginning young artists to the field of performance or emerging professional students, the ensembles at CBC achieve levels which rival the finest the industry has to offer.

Jazz Unlimited performance

Jazz Unlimited

Hosted by the Columbia Basin College Music Program since 1972, Jazz Unlimited is an annual festival and competition for middle school, junior high school and high school concert bands, jazz bands, concert choirs and jazz choirs around the Northwest. The festival includes clinics, special guests and concerts. This festival offers invaluable education opportunities to learn and perform with top adjudicators and nationally known musicians.
